The idea of these meetings has its origin in Spain, where for several years there have been many young mathematicians interested in the theory of vector measures and integrals. Certainly, the essential input has been done by Joe Diestel who had been a frequent guest in Spain. The previous meetings were held in Valencia (2004), Sevilla (2006), Eichstätt (2008), Murcia (2011) and Palermo (2012).
The aim of the conference is to bring together leading experts and other active researchers in the field of vector measures and integrals to assess new trends and methods in the field, as well as new interactions with other aspects of Banach spaces. The program of the meetings will include a series of plenary lectures, contributed talks and poster sessions.
The scientific topics we plan to cover fall into four groups:
In case of theme 1 we expect that the topics will include recent results concerning integration with respect to vector measures, Pettis integrals and non-absolute integrals (Henstock, Henstock-Kurzweil-Pettis and Denjoy-Pettis).
Concerning no 2 and 3, it is expected that the topics will include the following vivid topics of the theory of Banach spaces: renormings, algebras of operators, topological and analytic properties, Banach spaces-related combinatorics and set theory. In case of theme 4 we expect that presentations will be concentrated mainly on the theory of absolute (Pettis, McShane) and non-absolute (Henstock, Henstock-Kurzweil-Pettis) theory of integration and their connections with Banach space theory (Radon-Nikodym type theorems and related topics).
