Problem session credit

To take the final exam you first need to obtain a passing grade for the problem session. In the course of the semester we will have 3 mid-term exams The grade for the problem session will be based on these mid-terms. Each mid-term will consist of 4 problems similar or identical to the exercises from the lists.
The problems lists will be published every Tuesday, a week ahead of the problems session on which they will be discussed. The lists will be distributed in class, and they will also appear on this web page.

Final exam

The lecture will end with a final exam, which will have a similar format to the mid-terms (similar number of problems, similar level of difficulty). You can only take the final after you have obtained the credit for the problem sessions.
